Certified as an Iyengar Yoga teacher in 2000, I opened the Iyengar Yoga Scarsdale Studio in 1995, where I continue teaching. I’ve taught Yoga in many Westchester settings ( Manhattanville College Westchester, Scarsdale Yoga, Be True Yoga, Sarah Lawrence College extension, Scarsdale Library) and volunteer venues (Gilda's Club Westchester, The Coachman, My Sister’s Place, NAMI Westchester, Mental Health Association of Westchester’s Sterling Clubhouse).

Trained as a modern dancer (at Sarah Lawrence College), I graduated from Stanford University, and began meditation practice in 1973 with Tibetan Buddhist Lama Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. I received two Master’s degrees ( Psychology from the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research and one in Dance Therapy from NYU).

In 1994, I began studying Iyengar Yoga with Mary Dunn, who helped establish the New York City and San Francisco Iyengar Institutes.

I studied with Guru B.K.S. Iyengar and his daughter Gita and son, Prashant Iyengar in Pune, India, at Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute for six-month-long trips between 2000-2018.

With boundless gratitude and appreciation for all my Yoga teachers (currently Corine Biria of Centre de Iyengar Yoga Paris), I fully engage in lifelong study.

For over two decades, I participated in live meditation workshops and online courses with Buddhist teacher Pema Chodron and continue Buddhist Dharma study/meditation practice locally with Westchester Meditation Center.
